Flamingo Sport fishing Tour
The first class boats are equipped with fishing equipment and controls. All boats are fully insured and equipped with electronics, navigational systems, GPS, marine radios, cell phones and fully rigged for sports fishing.
The team of captains and first mates of each boat have extensive knowledge of conventional, fly fishing, and catch & release.
Located on the North West coast of Costa Rica. Flamingo is one of the major sports fishing spots. Just twenty miles west of Flamingo are two drop-offs where water depth increases from 360 to 2000 feet and more. This provides a complete eco-system of sea life for pelagic species like Pacific sailfish, blue, black and striped marlin; Dorado, yellowfin, and bigeye tuna.
Activities
Would you like to experience great fishing that is perfect for the family as well? A short 20-minute run takes you to deep waters, where an abundance of fish awaits you. We practice catch and release on all billfish and use circle hooks (easy retrieval) to conserve the big game fish of the Pacific. We have a variety of boats with features, equipment and sizes that will make your fishing experience unforgettable. Our captains are experienced. On board you will enjoy beverages and snacks during tour.
Off Shore: we fish for Sail Fish (Pez Vela), Marlin, Mahi Mahi (Dorado) and Yellow Fin Tuna (Atún de Aleta Amarilla).
Inshore we fish for Rooster Fish (Pez Gallo), Snapper (Pargos), Wahoo (Guaju), Barracuda (Barracudas), Amber Jack (Jurel), Grouper (Cabrilla), Mackerel and Black Tuna (Atún negro) (which is used as live bait for Snapper and Rooster).
Off shore fishing we use balihoo or lures as bait and inshore we use live bait. ** For live bait, we need at least 1 day advanced reservation.
A Full Day: Fishing Trip is 8 hrs approximately 20 - 35 miles offshore. Included: bottled water, sodas, beers, snacks, cookies and sandwich (ham or chicken, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes).
Half Day Fishing Trips are 4 hrs of Fishing approximately 6 - 10 miles from the coast line. Included: bottled water, sodas, beers, snacks and cookies.&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;/p></p>
