Tenorio Hanging Bridges & Nature Preserve
Tenorio has everything you could want in a tropical forest natural area and every time we visit we find something new to love. Hiking to the hanging bridges in the rainforest and trail to the cloud forest from the Heliconias entrance are equally amazing. There is a little known entrance to the park at Heliconias Ecolodge Community Project and the nature preserve. They have a network of excellent trails leading through their private protected forest to a series of hanging bridges through the rainforest canopy. On our last visit we went on the bridges trail under the stars and it was Awesome.

Located on the slopes of the Tenorio Volcano, there will be a two-hour hike with many stops to see the variety of flora and fauna in the surrounding tropical rainforest.
You will walk on 3 hanging bridges over the forest canopy ranging from 35 to 40 meters in height. This is an excellent opportunity for observing, birds, butterflies, bromelias, orchids and become immersed in the splendor of the tropical jungle.......
After that, the guide will take you through the multiple nature trails around the farm, closer to hanging bridge place, in search of sloths, monkeys, snakes, owls, birds and orchids. Passing through the nursery brimming with tropical plants and then wandering under the jungle canopies to visit the greenhouse where herbs and vegetables are produced.
You may be interested in the butterfly garden, and the life cycle of the butterfly, we will take you to our lab and then onto the butterfly garden in order to witness these beautiful transformations
Lunch
After all these adventures we will be hungry and get to enjoy a luxury lunch which is all organic and includes appetizers, soup, salad, a main plate with options of meat/fish and finally a dessert.
