Reservations
How do I check availability?

Can I make a telephone reservation?
You can always phone us on any of the numbers given on our website to make a reservation; however, to guarantee your seats, you should pay full of the total cost of the reservation.
How can I pay?
You can pay for the service completely by Credit or debit card (payment online)

What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that plans change. That’s why, when you book with us, you have the flexibility to change your travels and re-book when it suits you. Change or cancel your travel plans up to 48 hours before departure, with no fees. Cancellation requests made within 24 hours of the departure date/time may not receive a refund.
How do I know you are a legitimate company?
We have been in the business for more than 25 years. Thousands of people have now taken our excursions.

Also we are member to Costa Rican Tourism Board (Spanish: Instituto Costarricense de Turismo) is the government agency responsible for promoting sustainable tourism in Costa Rica.
The Tourism Board is responsible for granting the fiscal incentives available in the country since 1985 for tourism development. These incentives consist mainly of tax exemptions for companies providing hotel services, air transport, car rental, gastronomy services, travel agencies, and other tourism related services
General Tour Questions
Do you pick me up from my Airbnb- Private residence, Hotels?
Yes, we will happily schedule your pickup from your Airbnb or Private Excursion. As soon as you arrive at your destination let us know your exact location. For some locations, we have special nearby meeting points.
Can I be dropped off at another hotel or location?
Please ask our Pininos Adventures Team before booking if you want to be dropped off at another location. We will try our best to accommodate your request. We cannot take luggage like suitcases and backpacks on our coach excursion. We can accommodate you on our Private Excursion.
I have special dietary requirements – will they be catered for?
Please let us know at the time of booking of any food requirements or allergies and we’ll pass the information to our provider. We offer vegetarian and gluten-free options without any cost, but please let us know, as we need to know this at least 24 hours before the excursion starts.
Can I skip the transportation and take my own car?
Although we recommend our hassle-free transportation from your hotel or Airbnb you can take your car and leave the car at a our meeting point. In between the activities, we will take you with our transportation and after the excursion, we bring you back to the car. Please contact our customer service if you want to bring your own car.
How many people can sign up for an excursion?
In our excursions, we create small groups so that you can enjoy the freedom of movement and be able to interact closely with your surroundings, as well as so that you can receive more personalized attention from our guides. This small size ensures that your group will not encroach on your personal experience. Most of our transportations fits 12 persons
How can I find my Driver at The Airport?
When a client is being collected at the airport, Pininos Adventure sends a representative to the “International Arrivals” area; this helps fellow passengers with their luggage, and guides them to the vehicle. Please search the Pininos Adventures representative on the exit, this person always has a sign with the customer name, and Pininos Adventures logo.
Be careful at the airport, there are many vendors in the hallway; we recommend you do not stop to talk to them. If for some reason you cannot find our representative, please contact us by phone or E-mail.
We NEVER ask anyone outside our company to take you to your hotel, if someone offers to take you from the airport to your hotel on our behalf; and not have our uniform, and tries to charge more, please reject it.

What do you know About Tipping In Costa Rica!!
Costa Rica has a very different approach to tipping than the U.S. However, while there are no hard and fast rules about gratuities in Costa Rica, some general customs should be observed when traveling.
It depends, of course, on what type of service you are using. The restaurants already have the tip included. If someone is cleaning your room, then maybe $5/a day. Grabbing your luggage, we would suggest about $2/luggage. If you are doing an Uber or another transportation service, then $10 – $20 is plenty. but if you’re going a long way, giving a little extra might be a good idea. Once again, go by feel, and if it was exceptional, add a little extra. It is noticed and appreciated.
Regarding the tour guides, a tip between $15 and $30 is considered polite, depending on how many people are in your group
When heading out on a sports fishing trip, it’s customary to tip the crew! The standard tip is 15% to 20% of the charter cost. Please ask your travel consultant for an exact amount, and they can provide the charter cost.
Tipping All Inclusive Resorts in Costa Rica; We like to give a small tip to the valet (if we use one), hotel maids and the bell boys. We don’t normally tip bartenders unless they are really good. I usually like to give a little bit to the masseuse too if we go to the spa.
Tipping in Costa Rica – Dollars or Colones?
You can tip in Costa Rican colones or USD. Locals readily accept USD, especially now that the exchange rate is getting higher so they get more colones to the dollar.

Can I customize a private Tour?
You can use the same itinerary as our regular trips, adding special activities & inclusions to the itinerary, and even hand pick your guides.

How long are your private excursions?
Your private excursion is as long as you want it to be, it can be a one-activity for more or less 2 hr or a full-day adventure with more activities. The guides we choose for you are specialized in personal guided excursions. You can be always assured of personal attention. You will be able to stop and take pictures and have lunch when you want at the many places that your guide will recommend along the way.
How many people can sign up for a private excursion?
In our Private Excursion, you decide how many participants you will take. Some private excursions are limited in how many persons we can take for logistic reasons or for allowance passengers .
